Alicia M. Morgan is a graduate of Tuskegee University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Science Engineering and New Mexico State University with a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering with a Manufacturing Minor. Her professional engineering experience includes working at Lockheed Martin, The Boeing Company and Raytheon. After thirteen years in engineering, Alicia followed her passion working with youth in the nonprofit sector. Among her many accomplishments, she’s on the Advisory Board of the Academy of Engineering and Biomedical Sciences at Bryan Adams High School, promoting and impacting programs and NAF certification. As a Program Leader for the Heart House Dallas after school program, she facilitated STEM learning centers for K-8th grade students. The mission of Heart House is to provide safety, education and opportunity to refugee and underprivileged students. In 2016, she was honored with The Women of Color in STEM Conference K-12 Promotion of Education Award for her work at Heart House Dallas and Bryan Adams High School.
She’s the STEM 2.0 Insight Project Researcher for the Office of Strategic Initiatives at the Dallas County Community College District(DCCCD) which provides an online website portal for STEM Education and resources for middle through high school students. Additionally, she is a facilitator for the North Central Texas Region Degree Accelerator Project to support college and workforce readiness through DCCCD.
She is the Founder of 3 Morgan Publishing LLC and author of “Father and Daughter Time: Conversations of the Heart.”
She is recently featured in Dallas Morning News in the article “How the movie “Hidden Figures” inspired Dallas’ black engineering community
