Develop a Style

You can read countless books, hire business coaches and take numerous professional development classes however you must develop your own style for selling your value. So how will you enter the room? Will you start by determining how many connections you will make beforehand? Will you come up with a few general questions to ask the people you meet? Are you looking for a new opportunity? Do you have an elevator pitch that communicates your value and solves a unique problem?

The answer to all of these questions will help you fine tune your message and develop a style of communicating it. You must lead with value and not simply what you do in general terms. Most importantly, boosting your confidence level by possessing a strong executive presence shows that you know your worth.
